OUR GOAL

Countless teens live with invisible illnesses — chronic conditions whose symptoms aren’t immediately visible to others. For many of them, misunderstanding and isolation can feel inevitable. Under the Iceberg aims to change that by offering a space where teens with invisible illnesses can connect, share their experiences, and feel seen by others just like them.

Maya is a sophomore who loves reading, participating in Science Olympiad, and writing for her school newspaper, the U-High Midway. She was diagnosed with scoliosis in eighth grade and wore a nighttime back brace for over a year. She hopes that Under the Iceberg will make other teens like her feel less alone.

Want to join our team? Contact under.the.iceberg.teens@gmail.com. Send an email with an explanation of your experience with Invisible Illness and your reasoning for wanting to participate as a member of Under the Iceberg’s team. Expect a reply within a couple days.
