Maya is a student at U of C Lab Schools who enjoys Science Olympiad and is the Health Editor of her school newspaper. She was diagnosed with scoliosis at 13 and wore a brace for over a year, resulting in insomnia and difficulty focusing. She founded Under the Iceberg as a sophomore in hope of making teens like her feel less alone.
